Sensei Kevin T. Potter

Sensei Kevin Potter began his karate training under the tutelage of Shihan Rob Fletcher and Sensei Wil Pino in 1996. Through continued training and discipline, Sensei Potter has earned a 2nd degree black belt in Kyokushin Karate. He has also has trained in the disciplines of American Karate, Universal Martial System, Muay Thai and Krav Maga in addition to basic grappling. In addition to Shihan Fletcher, he has had the privilege of training with Sensei Danny Schulman, Professor Steven Levi, ISKA Florida State MMA Champion Crafton Wallace and middleweight kickboxing champion Bill “Superfoot” Wallace. He has also competed at the US Open Karate Tournament and other state tournaments in forms and fighting.

Sensei Kevin’s first motivation for studying the martial arts was fitness and competition. He soon realized that martial art training had become a lifestyle. From the lessons learned through his training, teaching became his real love. Sensei Kevin believes that everyone can enjoy the benefits of training in the Martial arts from improved physical fitness, greater confidence and improved focus to a better sense of safety and well-being.

Sensei’s certifications include the American Council of Martial Arts as an instructor, A.C.E Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, KICK USA Certified Competition Referee and a Member of the National Black Belt Club. He has been inducted in the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame as well as the Battle of Atlanta Hall of Fame.

Sensei Kevin is a Company Officer with Collier County EMS and Fire as a paramedic and firefighter. He has been serving the residents of Collier County since 1988.
