At Estero Martial Arts & Fitness we offer a mixed martial arts curriculum with its roots in Kyokushin Karate and grappling. Our programs incorporate all aspects of training, assisting our students to:

  • develop self-esteem
  • promote physical fitness
  • improve coordination and stamina
  • promote balance in mind and body
  • develop self-discipline
  • accept personal responsibility


  • Kyokushin is a style of stand-up, full contact karate founded by Masutatsu Oyama in 1964. Kyokushin is Japanese for "ultimate truth." A very practical method of self defense, Kyokushin is deeply rooted in the philosophies of self-improvement and discipline. Unlike other sports, martial arts is a lifestyle of training focused on the five aspects of fitness: mentally, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Focus is placed on doing your personal best and not on being better than others.
